Ninety voters are randomly selected with 55 indicating they will vote for the candidate. Find a 95% confidence interval for the proportion of voters in the town that will vote for this candidate. Based on this confidence interval, can the candidate determine whether or not to nominate for the election to become Mayor?

z value for 95% CI is 1.96 as P(-1.96<z<1.96)=0.95

So Margin of Error is

Hence CI is

As CI both values are greater than 0.5 so Mayor can nominate for the election
