Ans- Darwin theory of natural selection has the following postulates.

1} All organism have a high capacity to reproduce.

2} Reproduction results in variation.

3}High reproduction rate puts a pressure on the environmental resources.

4} Limited availablity of resources will cause the species to struggle for existence

5} The organism have the best of variations that can allow them to survive in the changing environmental condition will reproduce and become dominant species

6} Such organism are said to undergone natural selection.

Thus, Natural selection of organism occurs due to variations providing survival advantage and fitness to reproduce,
