3. You made some preliminary calculations for an object that you want to identify. The object was carefully weighed by five different individuals on a multiple-beam balance. Using this information you were able to calculate the average mass of the sample as 11.38 ± 0.02 g.

Based on your observation of the sample, you predict the sample is lead which has a density of 11.34 g/cm3.   If the volume of this same object was determined to be 1.45 cm3, was your prediction correct? Explain why or why not your prediction is correct including any calculations involved in your conclusion.
