Answer #1

1. Normally most of the general public miss the important factors that affect their life because that parameter won’t directly affect them or they are not able to see the direct affects of that parameter and this phenomenon is known as the “tragedy of commons” as this is very much associated with almost all of the general public. And here comes the scientist who study the parameter and analyse its holistic affects which helps to know the exact relationship and this is what scientists do to reach the public more effectively.

2. By using the data correlation, scientists can show the cause and effect relationships even when they don’t look correlated. This can be done by intensive research taken by the scientists and this help them to convince people to care for the things which seem far away but will  eventually have a massive impact on humanity. For example the relationship between anthropogenic carbon dioxide emission and global warming can be easily shown by scientific research and displaying the data which forms a hockey stick curve and thus shows that anthropogenic carbon dioxide emission is responsible for global warming. The curve is attached for reference.
