Design an experiment that will allow you to follow a protein from the endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex, and secretion vesicles to the outside of the cell. How will this differ if the protein is localized within lysosomes?

Experiment:

*We should insert an GFP ( green fluorescent protein in the gene which encodes protein by means of recombinant DNA technology.

* We should also take normal cell as control.

* Now look in the microscope, you will find the green fluorescent in the Endoplasmic reticulum whent The movement of protein occurs along the Endoplasmic reticulum.

* For surity, compare it with wild type control cell.

If the protein is localised to lysosome then the green fluorescent is seen in lysosome only. You will not found these greenish in any other organelles of cell except lysosome
