Insufficient food intake is one of the major reason of deficiencies of vitamins. Regular or too much drinking is related with deficiencies in many vitamins specially in vitamin B. It happens due to less food ingestion and in many cases, inappropriate absorption, metabolism, and utilization.

Joe may face B vitamin deficiencies in case his food intake or diet lacks the necessary vitamins. He may also face deficiency problem if his body doesn't absorb nutrients appropriately or if his body remove nutrient in huge quantity to some extent in health conditions or medication.
