Answer:

Data types , Data Categorization and Data Formation all play major role in devloping relationships.

Lets first see how data types are important:
Consider two tables and Order table and a Sales table. Order table contain a column named State and Sales table contain a column named City . SInce these two data types are different we won't be able to find any relationship between them but if both of them were State or both were City then relationhip can be established. So to establish a relationship the data type between the tables should be same. (See Image1.png attached )

Now the data categorization. The database for most companies is huge so we organize data into categories which helps us to retrieve , store, and use it to find relationship for future. Consider the above example of Sales table and Order table . Both of them has a column named Age. Since the data may have many distinct aged ranging from 5 to 95 . We categorize it. Let's say into two categories : Persons wth age below 40 can be categorized as low and person with age above 40 can be categorized as high and they can be put in a new column called Age Category. Now we find the relationship among the tables using this coloumn and it becomes a lot easier.(See Image3.png attached)

Now comes the data formation:

Lets go back to the Sales and Order table example i n the first paragraph were Sales table had a column named State and Order table had a column named City. They both are different data types so no relationship can be formed. But now we create a new coloumn named state and we write the respective fill the respective state of the given cities in the order table. Now both the Sales and Order table have column named state. And now the relation ships can be formed. (See Image2.png)
