Answer #1

SOLUTION:- ASCII(American Standard Code for Information Interchange), EBCDIC(Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code) and UNICODE, are all character sets i.e., a list of letters, numbers, symbols, and is assigned to a binary value for utilization.

EBCDIC data code utilizes an 8 bit and permits 256 distinct letters, digits & exclusive symbols. ASCII data code utilizes a 7 bit and permits 128 distinct letters, digits & and exclusive symbols. UNICODE is a 16 bit code that endorses more than 110 distinct languages & symbol sets through all over the world. ASCII is a 7-bit code, EBCDIC is an 8-bit code, and Unicode is 16-bit code. We can include parity checking via ASCII code. Unicode can endorse several languages.

EBCDIC = 8 bit code, 256 possible combinations utilizing the alphabet upper & lower cases
ASCII = 7 bit version 128 distinct combinations and can detect errors
Unicode = 16 bit code, 110 distinct code charts available.

ASCII is a broadly accredited standard sanctioned by recognized standard making agencies and is a subset of Unicode.Unicode is a coding table that assigns non-negative integers in order to delineate the printable characters. EBCDIC utilized firstly on mainframe computers and high end servers. ASCII is the most general format for text files in computers and on Internet. An ASCII file delineates each alphabet, numeric, or special character with a 7-bit binary number i.e., a string of seven 0s or 1s, 128 possible characters are specified. Unicode is a coding scheme that is analogous to ASCII that attempts to delineate characters in majority of the world's languages utilizing 2 bytes for each. A vital difference between ASCII and Unicode is the size of the coding table.
