Instrument Technicians are those who also known as highly skilled technologists. If you are interested you can start working in this role with a high school diploma. Role of Instrument Technician is they have to consult manufacturer's manuals to examine test and maintenance tasks. Instrument technician also have to use testing devices to inspect and test instruments and system operations and giving solutions to problems. This job also involves installing and maintaining instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes.
Instrumentation Technicians use varieties of instruments to measure and control physical quantities like pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical make up. You will get to work with Engineers for design and sometimes consult with and advise Process Technicians. In this role, you have to perform risk assessments. Part of your job will also be to repair, maintain and adjust system components or replace defective parts.
