Answer #1

ANS-Contribution of fatty acid oxidation to gluconeogenesis pathway( production of glucose from other molecules)-

  1. Oxidation of fat provides energy to gluconeogenesis in the form to ATP.
  2. also provide acetyl-coA for the activation of pyruvate carboxylase.
  • Both of them plays major role to support the gluconeogeesis for its proper regulation.

Conditions under which amino acid get converted to glucose-

  • At the time of starvation amino acid (alanine and glutamine) serves as a substrate in gluconeogenesis pathway for the production of endogenous glucose, the process  occurs inside a liver.
