Answer #1

1. soils of temperate decidious forests are very fertile as the large amount of leaf drop quickly recycles back to the top soil. The fallen leaves decompose and the nutrients are absorbed by the soil.

2. photosynthetic dinoflagellates are mutualistic symbionts with coral polyps. The clear waters near the equator are nutrient poor and corals donot have resource to produce energy .so they depend on the photosynthetic dinoflagellates for energy.

In turn , the dinoflagellates use the inorganic nutrients and CO2 that are released by the corals as waste .

3. A lake's profundal zone extends all around the shore to the depth where aquatic plants stop to grow

4. Endangered species has population levels so low it is at great risk of extinction in the near future

5. The correct ranking of electromagnetic radiation types from smallest wavelength to largest is

UV< visible < IR
