Answer #1

Toussaint L'Ouverture was a leader of slaves and fought for the rights of the slaves and he also protected the rights of the slaves and independently fought in the French colony. He was a military leader during the time of the French Revolution. His support and encouragement make the Haitian movement stronger against the French colony. His involvement makes him a popular figure of this movement and black people felt connected to him for his anti-slavery steps.

The role of Voodoo was distinct in the Haitian Revolution because he united the people of different factions and make this revolution organized to achieve his goals. Most importantly, his conspiracies and planning make the revolution successful to attain the anti-slavery as well as anti-colonialism goals together.
