Please HELP, I am stuck on this problem and I am not able to figure out because the book is giving km/s instead of the regular km/h and the professor gives us the final answer to self check but my answer using the formula lambda=h/p is not the same as his answer...not sure what I am doing wrong. I tried to convert to m/s but that didn't work.
What is the de Broglie wavelength of:

a) an electron (m=9.1x10^-31kg) traveling at 15 km/s?

b) an electron with a kinetic energy of 1eV?

C) a proton (m=1.67 x10^-27kg) travelling at 15km/s?

d) a promo with a Kinetic energy of 1eV?

e) an elephant (m=10 tonnes) traveling at 15km/h?

f) an elephant with a kinetic energy of 1eV?

I need help with this physics problem. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is designed to accelerate protons around a ring 27 km in circumference using over 1,600 magnets that produce an 8.3 T field. The mass spectrometer equation cannot be used for this calculation since the protons are highly relativistic (v c). The kinetic energy becomes Ek = pc where p is the momentum, still given by p=qBr. Determine the proton's kinetic energy (in Joules) and convert to units of...
