Has it become too complicated for employers to develop legally defensible employment tests? Why do you say this? Would it be better for employers to rely more heavily on interviews instead?
Employment tests now a days have become tough to conduct because of many challenges like discrimination being faced by the employers because of various laws being brought in by the governments. In order to conduct a test the employer needs to be very careful not to violate any law which would make them liable for legal action. Hence it has become too complicated for them to develop tests which satisfies all the laws and hence it is better if them if they conduct interviews or some activities such as group discussions where they can conduct them unbiased and without violating any laws. Hence it is better for them to rely on interviews rather than various tests.
