Negative GDP growth shows recession. When rate of GDP growth reduces it is called as slowdown in economy. GDP grew consistently in 2015 and in 2016 with a moderate rate. There was recessionary pressure on economy in between 2017 to 2018 but it recovered in 2018 and recorded a positive growth.

Business cycle shows expansion in between 2015 to 2016 but contraction in 2017 and again recovery started in the year 2018.
