During medical procedure, the administration related steps must be standardized in order to remove any discrepancies or confusions that may arise due to non-standardized approach. Also, this will ensure timely completion of all the administrative steps such as registering patient, payment procedures, procurement of medicines from pharmacy, inventory maintenance, etc.

However, patient-specific healthcare processes must be artistic or customized in nature. Every patient needs different diagnosis, hence each treatment procedure is different and unique. Thus doctors and nurses provide patient-specific care.
