Organizational culture is basically the norms, procedures, and methods of communication that take place within the organization. It is very important that the organizational culture transferred from one employee to another so that it can be carried forwarded and consistency can be formed in the manner the way the organization operates.

The transferring of organizational culture takes place by the two methods=

Formal methods= In order to facilitate the transferring of organizational culture, the rulebook or standard operating procedures can be used as a formal way of doing so. Every organization has a policy document about the different types of processes, employee-related policies, the behavior expected and so on. These have to be followed by every person who is the part of the firm and this is how the organizational culture is learned.

Informal methods= IN case of informal methods, there is no written document that can help the employees to learn the culture. But this is learned by observing how others perform or react in a given situation. The conduct of the manager and top management plays a significant role in this regard as it is the conduct of the top management that trickle-down to the lower management and then the common employee

When we talk about mores and folkways, even the conduct of the top management and co-worker plays a significant role. When an ethical and moral behavior is shown by the top management, it will be copied by the other as they will think that this is the ideal way of performance. Similalry the manner in which the co-worker decides the moral and immoral, this will also lead an imprint on others and thus they will copy the co-workers.
