Tropical cyclone are formed due to the differential heating of land and sea. And also tropical cyclone become weaker on reaching land. However, mid latitude cyclones do not become weaker on reaching land.
Example of tropical cyclone includes typhoons, hurricane etc. And example of mid-latitudes cyclones includes disturbance in wester India.
