What challenges does Campbell's face in capturing more sales and becoming a forgotten brand by the younger generation? (At least 100 words)
One of the key challenges that Campbell’s face is the disconnection between the consumers and their legacy approach to the market. The company has traditionally been a processed food company. This is where their strength lies and for a long time the consumers were satisfied with processed foods. However, in the recent times it has been clear that there are various carcinogens that are put into processed food and the level of health benefits provided by them are just not comparable to fresh organic food items.
Especially the younger generation nowadays is very aware of these food issues and many of the youngsters are looking to get healthier on a regular basis. With this approach of the consumers’ mindsets, it is difficult for Campbell’s Soup Company to sell their processed food. This is where the key challenge lies and if Campbell’s can find a solution to connect with their younger audience through various healthy food approaches they may be able to increase sales and remain relevant in the future.
