What is the difference in proton concentration between two aqueous solutions, one of pH= 3.5 and...
what change in pH has greater effect on proton concentration? pH from 7 to 6 or pH from 7 to 8? I'm thinking that both changes effect the proton concentration equally but in opposite directions in that moving from pH 7 to 6 would be similar to dividing the concentration of protons by 10, while moving from 7 to 8 would be the equivalent of multiplying the concentration of protons by 10. Thank you for the help
