I have worked as a trainee with Walmart , California. While my training , I have experienced a successful change related managerial practices adopted by senior and middle level management. The major factors associated with successful change management was included the following factors:
1) Open and prior communication: Any specific changed were properly communicated by the senior or appropriate authority of the company. They usually changed the displays of the stores so as to increase the customers attraction.
2) Employees resistance to the proposed change:
many times , i observed at Walmart that a group of employees opposed the decisions taken by top management or senior authority. It was one of the major challenges.
3) Employees bargains at every time when an organizational policies introduced by the management:
It gives employees a chance to show their grievances against the management . Generally, It also gives a chance to management people to introduce stronger policies related to workplace management.
4) Challenges like time , cost and other resource utilization:
Change efforts will be typical to achieve when constraints like time, cost and availability of human resourced occurred with a regular interval. Many times , organizations avoid any massive change event.
