1) For making pickle we need a cucumber which has less amount of water inside.Now , for a cucumber , there is a lot amount of water in the cells. To remove it , we need a hypertonic solution.A hypertonic solution is a solution having greater concentration in solute than the sample. So , when we use a salt solution having greater concentration , the solvent , which is the solvent basically , comes out from the cucumber  to the hypertonic salt solution (osmosis) making the cucumber shrinking , which is good for making pickle.

let p =CRT where p is pressure , C is concentration ,R is constant , T is absolute temperature.

now , using salt solution , the p of cucumber becomes less than that of salt solution which allows the water content of cucumber to come out to the salt solution .

2) Cell membranes should be semipermeable as for it's own survival it needs ingredients. When certain components are carried with water molecules , the semipermeable membrane lets one the required components through it's cell membrane.

3) Solution is transparent , clear and homogeneous which has components of molecular size and light can pass through it and also no precipitation occurs.

Suspension is cloudy , heterogeneous and at least two components are visible with componnts having size more than 10000 Angstrom. Particles are eventually settles down as precipitation.

colloids are cloudy but homogeneous having particles of size 10 - 1000 Angstrom. Light can be dispersed by the solution but no precipitation or sedimentation occurs.

5) a) The amount of NaCl in blood is 9% but in the solution used is 10 % my mass and volume. O , the salt solution is hypertonic with respect to blood which causes osmosis and the amount of water gets reduced. So , cremation will occur.

b) The amount of glucose in blood is 5.6 - 6% but in used solution , it is 2% . Blood is hypertonic solution than the solution used . So , hemolysis will occur as water content will be increased into the blood system.

c) Using H2O will cause hemolysis as water has no salts present in it which causes blood as the hypertonic solution than water, So, hemolysis will occur.

d) As blood has 5 % glucose amount present in it and we are also using 5 % glucose solution , so it will basically create no difference and nothing will occur.
