Answer #1

Ans; Neurotransmitters are the chemicals present in the body produced by cells of various actions and are responsible for mediating synapses.

Synapse is the process of communication between two neurons means neurotransmitter help in transmission of messages from brain to organs and from organs to brain.

These act by activating receptors on postsynaptic neurons and enhance the effects of action potential. Action potential is a impulse or message which is passing though a synapse. Postsynaptic neuron is one which is receiving a particular message. Some neurotransmitter also act by inhibiting the receptors when the particular task is not needed.

C. Organisms brain receives information from the environment by the way of various afferent or sensory neurons which carry information from the environment to the brain. These sensory organs have various sensory receptors which are sensitive to any change in environment and lead to activation of sensory nerve ending or afferent neurons and send information to the brain by movement of ions which carry electrical impulse.

D. Receptor cells means the cells which receives and collect the messages and transfer them further. So in our body information is collected and receives by sensory organs like eye, ear, nose and skin. Neurons present in these organs are sensory neurons these are also known as afferent neuron as these carry information above toward the bran for further processing.

E. When a information is received by receptor cell in the sensory neurons it travel in the direction of nervous system so is the another name if sensory neurons that is afferent neuron.
