A contractor is working on the New Video Board project for the Jones AT&T Stadium for Texas Tech University. He is awaiting the main LCD display board to arrive from the manufacturer before he can install it. The estimated time of arrival for the display screen is 2 weeks out. He is into the project 160 days into the contract. The product data from the manufacturer arrived to the Contractor on day 85 of the contract. He sent a submittal to the Architect/Engineers who received it on day 92 of the contract. The Architect reviewed the submittal and sent it back with the remarks “Approved” after 18 days. The alotted time for review of submittals is 21 days. The lead time on the display screen is 6 weeks. Once the display screen arrives, the rest of the work will take another 4 weeks to complete. Describe what course of action/penalties the contractor may face. Refer to the Construction Services RFP and Contract.
