5) The ideal gas equation, can relate the pressure variables and the amount of moles of a gas that produces that pressure, then when making the difference Ptotal - P H2O we would be calculating the pressure exerted by the unknown gas on the system, this it is called, partial pressure of unknown gas.

With this partial pressure, and the relationship of the ideal gas equation, we can determine the moles formed.
