come up with 3 non-standard questions that you should be prepared to ask your interviewer No simple ones like “is this a paid internship" or "when does the job start/end." Instead, questions like "what are you looking for in an intern," "what type of people do particularly well at your firm," "in looking for people, how do you weigh technical versus people-oriented skills." Then come up with a sentence or two that illustrate how you have the skills they are looking for.

Answer #1

The 3 non-standard questions in my view are :

1. Are there opportunities for professional development? If so, what do those look like?

When asking this question, you’re looking to key into whether there are opportunities for growth and whether the company has a Learning & Development program.

2.What’s your favorite part about working at the company?

It’s important to get a sense of your interviewer’s opinions about working there. If enthusiasm flows easily, that’s a great sign. If it doesn’t, that is worth noting too.

3.What are your expectations for this role during the first 30 days, 60 days, year?
Find out what your employer’s expectations are for the person in this position.
