(Answer) Article 1 of the US Constitution is one that highlights the powers and limitations of the legislative branch and the head of the government. Congress forms the legislative branch of the United States. This simply means that Congress is responsible for moving the laws that govern the country.

The necessary clause of the first article of the US Constitution is that Congress is responsible for making the laws of the country. However, the article dictates that Congress should be a bicameral legislature. This entails that the parliament would have two distinct chambers under one branch.

Drafting, approving and enacting these laws in a Democracy is opposite to that of an Authoritarian style government. In an Authoritarian government, the main authority wouldn’t hesitate to make or change a law without due research, consideration of all the branches of government and each stratum of society.

Conversely, a Democracy would not have unlimited powers concentrated in the hands of any one person or department. In a democracy, laws are researched, implications are discussed, all classed of people are considered and the country as a whole is considered. All these decisions are made through votes and approvals. This might be a time consuming and comparatively messy process. However, each aspect is duly considered and that is why all the powers are not carelessly thrust into the hands of the president. The president is not a lawmaker but, rather one who presides over the process of making these laws.

The architects of the constitution have created these regulations to simply and clearly prevent any one person or branch of government from having too much power and authority. This means that their goal was to keep the Democracy of the people, for the people and by the people.
