In today’s era, most of the Business activities that are centered on the customers, are integrated through use of appropriate technology. Technologies ensures the efficiency in the system to reach out to the customers. Even in case of Healthcare sectors, besides the Financial sectors or in Customer Service departments, the use of technology is essential. However, at the same time, it is essential that the information obtained to serve these customers better, are not compromised by way of data leakage in the process. Confidential information about a patient’s health or a client’s income records, can expose them to various risks thereby calling for jeopardy.
In such cases, the IT in place should be immediately stopped to monitor the lapses and in the meantime, in order to continue with the smooth functioning of the Organizations, a Business Continuity plan is to be developed in association with InfoSec, to enable more safety features in the system. A Business Continuity Plan shall also be needed to develop with InfoSec in case where the power failure needs are to be met and the customers are to be served urgently to avoid any sort of Jeopardy. Hence I agree with the above statement.
