Answer #1

(a) Two examples of different time (asynchronous), different place (remote) collaborative technologies are:

(i) Video conferencing,

(ii) Instant messaging.

In conferencing there may be a scenario where all the required team members may not be present at the time of the presentation. For that one can share a screen and multiple users can interact remotely. The conception of remote collaborative technology can be used here. The team members may work in different shifts. They can still share their thoughts on the remote video conference. The conception of asynchronous collaborative technology can be used here.

(b)

Online Community Offline Community
(i) In online community technology is used. (i) In offline community, there is no use of technology.
(ii) Communication is easier in online community. (ii) Communication is difficult in offline community. This is because in offline community one has to go to the person he/she wants to communicate with.

Hope this helps.
