Describe the "Modern Synthesis" of the theory of evolution. Include all aspects of Darwin's original theory and how it has been improved/added to with new discoveries since his time.
The Modern Synthesis or Synthetic theory of evolution was proposed by Darwin to explain the evolution of the species trough the Natural Selection. Darwin’s theory is based on three premises and two conclusions:
Firs premise: The populations have a great reproductive potential capacity to grow up indefinitely.
Second premise: the available resources to the populations (food, breeding places) are limited and their increase is lesser than the necessary one to the indefinite grow of the population. A competition between members of the population arise. The “fight for existence” and the increase of the individual's ability to compete, survive, and reproduce. A selection of the most competent individuals and in consequence a selection of the more competent features related to their fitness.
Third premise: A genetic variability exists between individuals of a population.
Based on these premises, Darwin conclude:
In sum, according to Darwin's natural selection, the species and the changes in them are the result of a cluster of coincidences. The changes are produced only by mutations in the genes and by the combination of those of the parents, and then if, by chance, the inherited traits are an advantage in a particular environment, the individuals that have them will have more possibilities of survive and reproduce. In short, the best adapted are "naturally selected".
However, since Darwin’s time, the Modern Synthesis with its Natural Selection was not enough to explain the evolution.
The integration of the genetic into the Natural Selection Theory was the key to establish the basis of the Modern Theory of Evolution:

While the question of how global processes influence all aspects of education (and who controls these forces) is multidimensional and not completely testable, there appear to be some theories of globalization as it...
Item 1 Original Source Material Student Version Even though the first digital prototype was not fully functional, designers were able to emulate playing the game by selecting diffusion activities and staff members. Through this interaction, designers noticed that players would need to move the mouse from one side of the monitor to the other for every single turn in the game. Designers also realized that the natural order of the "Activity" and "Staff members" sections were inverted because players need...
HDT Truck Company HDT Truck Company has been located in Crown Point, Indiana, since 1910. Its only products— large trucks—are built to individual customer specifications. The firm once produced automobiles but dropped out of the auto business in 1924. The firm nearly went out of business in the late 1930s, but by 1940 its fortunes were buoyed by receipt of several military contracts for tank retrievers—large-wheeled vehicles that can pull a disabled tank onto a low trailer and haul it...

will work with up to 3 partners (similar to a lab group) to prepare a written report which analyzes kinetic data that has been provided to you. All student groups will receive data for the hypothetical reaction aAlE) products where a is a numeric variable and A is a chemical variable. The reaction therefore has the form of a decomposition reaction, in which a single substance forms one or more new substances. For consistency, all concentrations start out at 1.000...
