This is a problem on electrodynamics about EM waves in conductors, please see the translation below, you only need to submit part (d), i will sure give you a thumb up if you show your steps :D

Simple model of a metal:

(a). Calculate the dielectric constant for a conducting material by taking the electrons in an external field a motion equation (see the equation below)

The dipole moment by electron is then p = e x and we find the density of polarization P = N p = e E (where N is the number of free electrons per volume)

(b). Calculate the resistance from part a

(c). Discuss the result for the case of copper if we take N = 8 · 10^22 atoms / cm3 and a conductivity at low frequency = 5 · 10^17sec1.

(d). Discuss the eta / m limit and the transparency of a metal at these frequencies. Calculate in addition the pressure on a copper block depending on the frequency (for normal incidence; the pressure is the exchange rate of the pulse per unit of time per area)
