Problem statement - To evaluate the efficacy of Sunaway at prevention of skin cancer .
Research design - Randomised controlled trial
Eligibility criteria :-
- patient with age group between 5-18 years
- newly diagnosed patients with skin cancer
- performance score of 3-4
- only skin cancer patients to be taken
Total subjects to be enrolled are 240
Study arm -2 . Arm ( A ) and Arm ( B )
Duration of trial - 2year
It would be a double blind study in which a nurse will randomise the patient into either arm A ( medicine ) or arm B ( no medicine ) then the nurse will make understand the Patient about the medications and then send to the researcher for taking date for medication at day care and then other procedures like Informed consent form and providing the patient sheet to write the issues he or she felt after taking the medication.

. propose a between-subjects experimental design to test the relationship. The IV and DV are already identified for you. Please explain how you would investigate the relationship by including: (1) your hypothesis (.e., what do you expect to happen), (2) an operational definition for your dependent variable (i.e., how will you test the variable), (3) the population (who do you want to recruit and why), (4) the levels of the IV (how many, what they are, and why), and (5)...
Clinical trial The design of the clinical trial for this study represented a single centered, double blind, placebo-controlled trial that utilized randomization to target patients for the trial. The eligible patients for the study were aged 21-90 years and after receiving a biopsy, these patients had confirmed colorectal adenocarcinoma and were deemed eligible for receiving treatment for the surgery to remove their adenocarcinoma, but were instead given an opportunity to participate in this research trial with written informed consent. Potential...
4. The foundation of experimental design comes from agriculture. Here is a typical experiment You want to study the effect of two fertilizers, sulfate of ammonia and superphosphate, on the yield of Brussels sprouts. Each fertilizer is used at four levels: 0, 30, 60, and 90 pounds per acre. (a) Describe the response variable (b) Describe the treatments. How many levels for each treatment? (c) List a complete set of treatment combinations. Arrange your list in table form (d) Suppose...

Part 1. Answer the questions below using the scenarios provided 1. You want to investigate whether there is a difference in hours of sleep between students who work out for many hours and those who work out for a few hours. Yo u get a sample of students and interview them. During the interview, you ask each participant about the number of hours they work out and the number of hours they spend sleeping each week. Each respondent tells you...
Summarize the experiment(s) and answer the following question:
Why is this a correlational study and not an experiment (hint: why
can't researchers manipulate the independent variable here)? What
do you think of their measure of charisma and social skills? Why do
you find it satisfactory or unsatisfactory?
