Ans) left sided heart failure:
1) Left-sided heart failure is an abnormal condition characterized by decreased functioning of the left ventricle. If left ventricular failure is significant, the amount of blood ejected from the left ventricle drops greatly, resulting in decreased cardiac output.
2) The most common form of heart failure is left sided heart failure. left sided heart failure results from left ventricular dysfunction. This prevents normal, forward blood flow and causes blood to back up into the left atrium and pulmonary veins. the increased pulmonary pressure causes fluid leakage from the pulmonary capillary bed into the interstitium and then the alveoli. This manifests as pulmonary congestion and edema.
3) left side heart failure symptoms:
weakness, fatigue, anxiety, depression, dyspnea, shallow
respirations up to 32-40/min, paroxysymal nocturnal dyspnea,
orthopnea (shortness of breath in recumbent position), Dry hacking
cough, nocturia, frothy pink tinged sputum.
4) With heart failure, the heart doesn't pump as well as it should. So your body doesn't get enough blood and oxygen. The body's hormone and nervous systems try to make up for this by increasing blood pressure, holding on to salt (sodium) and water in the body, and increasing heart rate.
