We need to convert lbs to kg because we can count the dose of medication on behalf of kg.

So, 145lb is equal to 65kg

Then, the daily dose of patient should be 40mg x 65kg x 1day = 2600mg/day

The patient can take a maximum of 2600mg of medication in one day.

We have to devide it into 3 same dose 2600mg = 3 = 866.666mg/dose

That means we can give 866mg of medication in one dose.

The medication strength is 125mg/5ml I.e 25mg/ml and 865mg/34.64ml

Answer. A nurse can administer 35 ml of drug in one dose.
