Answer #1

Science is intellectual and systematic study through observation and experiment. Art is the creative expression of human skills and imagination. Nursing as a science is based on theories and is evident. Every nurse knows the principles and the practices and nursing and applies in her patient care. Also professional bodies like ANA define the scope and standards of nursing practice.

But nursing as an art is to be practiced and exhibited by every nurse. It depends on the experience and the skills of the nurse. It is not just her hand, but her heart and compassion.

Therefore for nurses to synthesized science and art, they have practice based on the science of nursing and also exhibit their skills with compassion.
