Answer #1

Answer: The prospective payment system includes the fixed payment done of the medicare or we can say that it is a method of reimbursement by the medicare. The payment is basically predetermined for the diagnostic procedures and the charges. The MS-LTC-DRGS is same as the medicare where the bill for the inpatient is reimbursed. Both have the similarities regarding the reimbursement.

The main issue is that the reimbursement is for the diagnostic procedures and expenses only and it doesn't importantly induce other expenses such as medical billing etc.
