Answer: Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction which is life-threatening and can occur within seconds or minutes of exposure to something the person is allergic to. The instant treatment can be given as injection of epinephrine which can reverse the symptoms within minutes. Intravenous (IV) antihistamines and cortisone is given to reduce inflammation of air passages and improve breathing.

An epinephrine autoinjector is most often used for the treatment of anaphylaxis which is a kind of medical device for injecting a measured dose or doses of epinephrine (adrenaline) by means of autoinjector technology.

Shock is a condition that can be life-threatening as it occurs when the body is not able to get enough blood flow. Lack of blood flow leads the cells and organs do not get enough oxygen and nutrients to function properly. Many organs can be damaged as a result.

There are many causes of cardiovascular shocks such as when the heart suddenly can't pump enough blood to meet body's needs, inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis), damage to the valves allowing the backflow of blood, rupture of the wall of the heart etc.
