First of all let us understand what is healthcare. Healthcare is a service which is provided by the medical professionals in various modes such as prevention of diseases, and other ancillary diagnosis and etc.

I don't think healthcare as a business event though some of the medical professionals made it as a business and doing it for the sake of money. There are many sources with which you can say that in the US it is now a business eventually after these many years of its inception. In various hospitals they just patients as some money lending machines but never as a persons who is suffering with a problem, even the doctors have become in such a way that they are also going in the same way. But on the other side they are providing the service too, so we can see it as a business from the hospital or an organization side and as service that is being rendered by a medical professional for their problem, disease or an illness by the patient side.

The healthcare diversity and cultural competency are seen these days in many organizations. Cultural competency is at the core of high quality, patient-centered care, and it directly impacts how care is delivered and received. In health care settings, cultural awareness, sensitivity, and competence behaviors are necessary because even such concepts as health, illness, suffering, and care mean different things to different people. Knowledge of cultural customs enables health care providers to provide better care and help avoid misunderstandings among staff, residents/patients, and families. So in this the leaders in US Healthcare organizations must also make sure that the diversity and competency should be inbound to the organization core values.
