Pneumonia is defined as inflammation of the air sacs secondary to infection by bacteria,viruses or fungi. The common symptoms includes fever,child, shortness of breath, chest pain on breathing. Types of pneumonia are Aspiration pneumonia, Hospital acquired pneumonia, Hospital acquired pneumonia.

Nursing management focuses on airway management, removing thick tenacious secretions, preventing from infections. Nursing diagnosis for a chid with pneumonia secondary to candidiasis with oxygen insufficiency.

1 ) Ineffective airway clearance related to accumulation of excessive secretions as evidenced by inflammation of lung

2) Impaired gas exchange related to collection of excess mucus in the airway as evidence by decreased saturation of partial oxygen,

3) Ineffective breathing pattern related to ventilation perfusion mismatch as evidenced by abnormal breath sounds.

4) Hyperthermia related infectious process as evidenced by presence on candidiasis in blood culture.

5) Acute pain related to persistent coughing as evidenced by guarding of chest while coughing.

6) Activity intolerance related to imbalance between oxygen supply and demand as evidenced by breathing difficulty after exertion.

7) Risk for deficient fluid volume status related to increased body temperature and profuse sweating.
