Answer #1

Answer 1) Medical history is important in the dental examination because oral health is connected to overall health. Dental problems can be caused by other factors in your body. So, by having a knowledge of medical history the treatment plan and quality can be enhanced greatly. In addition to this, several medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and knee or hip replacement are directly correlated to dental conditions. Therefore, it is important that the patient tells the doctor about his medical history before dental examination and treatment to avoid any complications.

Answer 2) Panoramic X-ray might be done during an initial exam.

Answer 3) The above procedure involves taking X-ray of each tooth in the mouth which gives us an elaborate idea about the oral condition of the patient. This is done for the future references and designing the treatment plan.
