Answer #1

Medical History:

Medical history of patient is one of the most important factor while diagnosing and treating a patient in clinic.

we should not forget to record proper medical history before starting dental treatment because various medical condition s affect oral tissues and may cause serious complications during treatment.such as

Hyperthyroidism

Diabetes

Bleeding disorders

Hepatitis

Hyperthyroidism

HIV

Hemangiomas

kidney disorders

Relation with other factors:

All the above mentioned factors are important and inter- created for proper oral diagnosis and treatment planning.proper assessment of oral condition will give dentist an idea about underlying medical condition as many systemic diseases have oral manifestations like diabetes(ulcers),HIV(hairy leukoplakia), bleeding disorders(uncontrolled bleeding during treatment) .

It is very important to record drug historyand allergy. some patients are allergic to certain local anaesthetics so have to be injected with different class of anaesthetics.patients who are already on some medication may need some modifications e g pt taking anticoagulants hv to stop it 2 to 3 days before treatment.

proper planning of treatment definitely depends upon proper assessment, diagnosis , medical and drug history of the patient.proper documentation will help in research., settling claims.,follow ups and research.

so we can conclude that all the steps of ADHA guidelines are important and inter- related for proper treatment of patient
