the type of iv fluid in this patient is not appropriate as 0.25 normal saline is rarely used as hydration fluid.In this patient DNS (dextrose 5%,0.9 normal saline) should be given at a rate of 75 or 100 ..ml per hour if she does not have cardiac dysfunction.
