Glycogen Molecular weight is frequently expressed in terms of its simplest subunit which is the branch chain of 4 glucose molecules i.e Mr = 666.5777 grams / mol. This means mass of glucose in glycogen is 166.64425.
And we know the molecular mass of glucose is 180.156
Therefore mass difference is 13.512.
The mass difference occurs due to the glucose residue present in glucose. Whereas glycogen is pure .
