Her physician has ordered her to be out of bed in the chair at least twice daily and to ambulate every day. How will you safely move this patient from bed to chair and assist her with ambulation? Answer: For safely transferring patient from bed to chair can be risky as patient is suffering from heart disease as well as less motion is accessible for her. But some of the procedure may follow to safely transfer patient such as:

• First make sure to lock the wheelchair close to the bed.
• Then turn the patient towards facing the wheelchair.
• Support the patient by putting arm around the patient's neck with hand support the shoulder blade and put another hand under the knees.
• Let the patient sit on the wheelchair, helping the patient to sit up.

The patient is overweight and it is difficult for her to move properly, there is a major risk of fall as due to heavyweight, two supporters are needed to transfer her from bed to wheelchair. She is suffering from the heart disease so might be any kind of jerk lead to an increase in pain.
