Answer :
There are nine layers to the abdominal wall:
What is suture :
Suture is a stich or series of stiches made to secure apposition of the edges of a surgical or traumatic wound .
Types of sutures :
Absorbable are : catgut ,chromic ,collagen ,fascia lata and beef tendon .
Non absorbable are : silk, silk warm gut ,linen ,cotton and ramie.
Suture materials :
Absorbable : monofilament : surgical gut plain chromic ,collagen plain chromic ,monocryl ,PDS 2 ,ployglactin 910
Multi filament are : polyglycolic acid ,poly glactin 910 and poly glactin 910 rapid .
Types of needles :
- round body needles .
- cutting needle : conventional ,reverse cutting .
Closure of abdominal wounds :
For skin : suture type is non absorbable , needle is curved cutting needle and suture material is nylon synthetic monofilament material .poly propylene is often preferred for nylon . Suture is interrupted type . Some times mattress sutures .
For subcutaneous tissue: absorbable poly dioxanone is used subcutaneous tissue ,suture type is interrupted or continuous ,needle is round body .
For muscle layers : absorbable plain catgut or polygalatin 910 used for muscle layers ,needle is round body.
For peritoneal layer : surgical catgut absorbable suture material can be used to reapproximate mucosal surface or peritoneal edges ,but they lack the tensile strength for use in facia closure .
- poliglecaprone 25 ( monocryl ) is an absorbable suture that retains 50% of its tensile strength .
Needle is round body ,sutues are continues sutures or mattress sutures can be used .
List the different layers closed for abdominal wounds. Please list in order and what suture and needle type would b...

1-) What is the difference between SN1 and SN2 reactions? Please list at least three different factors for each reaction type. Also provide an example for each type with detailed arrow-pushing mechanism. 2-) Ethanol is not usually a solvent used for SN2 reactions – why not? I need a Management Action Plan for needle stick exposures. Please describe the desired outcome from the management action plan . What are you trying to accomplish? How will successful MAP implementation be measured and assessed? What realistic constraints do you have as you begin creation of your plan? Consider limits on time, money, and other resources that are specific to your MAP. Decide on the sequencing of your key action steps. For each key action step, what other steps...
Please use Java only: Background: Java contains several different types of interfaces used to organize collections of items. You may already be familiar with the List interface, which is implemented by classes such as the ArrayList. A List represents a collection of elements from which elements can be stored or retreived, in which elements are ordered and can be retrieved by index. A List extends from a Collection, which represents a collection of elements but which may or may not...
#8- could simple distillation be used to isolate a pure sample? if
so, in what type if situation would this be possible?
thank you!!
b. Which component should distill off first? c How does the boiling point of that liquid compare to temperature measurements at the beginning of both simple and fractional distilation? d. What does this comparison tell you about the composition of the intial distlation from both simple and fractional diestilation? e Using vour tractional distilation plot, estimate...
