Answer #1

Ans) We know, unit weight of cinder concrete =110 pcf

Area of floor = L x B

= 15 x 13 = 195 sq.ft

   Dead load due to self weight = 21.45 kips/ft

Thickness of floor = 6 in or 0.50 ft

=> Dead load due to floor = 21.45 x 0.50 kips

= 10.725 kips

Assume height of roof be 12 ft and 6 in thick, volume of walls ,

Aw = (2 x 12 x 13 x 0.5) + ( 2 x 12 x 15 x 0.5)

= 336 ft3

Dead Load due to walls = 110 x 336 kips

= 36.96 kips

Total dead load = 10.725 + 36.96 = 47.685 kips

Ans) According to table 2.3.1 of code , live load for light ware house is 6kN/m2 or 125.30 psf

Area of floor = 195 sq.ft

Live load = 195 x 125.30 kips

= 24.43 kips
