Increased demand:

One of the major issues is the demand for healthcare delivery. People are living longer at the same time the rise of chronic disease increase the demand for the healthcare professional. This also indirectly raise the healthcare cost. On the other side, the insurance market needs to make dramatical changes to cover the older insurers necessity. The need for increased medical and nursing colleges and skilled personnel are necessary to fill the gap and to resolve the ethical challenges.

Quality care:

Health organization needs to focus more on high quality and safe health care. The increasing demand and shortage of health professional increase the risk of hospital-acquired infection, medication error, and post-surgical complications. This will unnecessarily increase the hospital stay and cost and loss for both the patient and the organization.

Unnecessary care:

Too much money is wasted due to overuse of resources, repeated tests, unnecessary tests, and preplanned elective delivery. This increases the harm to the patient. Increased clinics for easy access to care and increased home-based care contributes to wasting of health care cost. For ex: elective cesarean increases the risk of women and need of NICU stay of the newborn.

Political issues:

There is a global challenge in healthcare delivery. advanced techniques and treatment should be implemented for the ultimate care of the patient. People look for transparency in healthcare and look for advanced techniques. The awareness of medical knowledge makes people travel to other countries to get optimum care. The patient choice of treatment and demands become challenging in healthcare delivery.

Health care policy:

The influence of the healthcare market and IT vendor, and entering of non-insurance market through health apps creates issues in health care delivery. Telemedicine and telehealth become more popular. But treating the patient without direct visiting of the patient is more challengeable for the physician. The new president health policy adapt to the use of health IT and compulsory insurance coverage, drug cost differentiation, all lead to health care delivery issues.
