a) Yes - the outcome expressed as something that either does or does not happen. It is a dichotomous outcome.

b) Baby recovers fully

c) N=7 - 7 babies are observed

d) p=.80 (although some authors use "q" as the probability of success. Whichever definition you use, make sure "q" is 1-p - success or failure is somewhat subjective. p is the probability that the observed event "of interest" happens.

e) q=.20

f) The possible values of x are the number of babies that can possibly recover. This just asks you to enumerate the sample space.
