Hilary has been employed by the XYZ voluntary health
organization for almost a year now. Just recently the organization
received word that it had been awarded a $15,000 grant to conduct a
health education/promotion program for a local senior citizens
group on living a healthier life. One restriction on the use of the
money is that the program must be planned by a representative group
from local voluntary and governmental health education/promotion
organizations. Therefore, Hilary’s first task is to invite local
groups to send a representative to the initial planning meeting.
Hilary has set the goal of having seven different health voluntary
and governmental agencies involved. If you were Hilary, which
organizations would you invite to the initial meeting? Justify why
you would select these.
