A "plant-based diet" means, food with more vegetables, whole fruits, whole cereals, and nuts. It also contains small quantities of lean meat low-fat dairy products. This diet provides all the nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, ions, and vitamins) along with dietary fiber when consumed in adequate quantities. It was proven that consuming a plant-based diet reduce the risk of obesity, cancer, and other inflammatory diseases.

The meat-based food contains more amounts of saturated fat, and sodium, which negatively affect cardiovascular health, increase body weight, and increase the risk of cancer. It contains less fiber, so the gastrointestinal health will be impaired, which was proven to increase the risk of colorectal cancer.

Thus, a plant-based diet is better for human health than a meat-based diet.
